Parameters considered in the multivariate regression models using backwards selection that had significant impact in univariate analyses: age, gender; ICU admission scores (APACHE, SOFA); severe ARDS (yes/no); P peak (peak ventilatory pressure); pulmonary compliance; NRBC (yes/no > 220/µl); (ECMO (yes/no). Data of 404 patients were considered. NRBC cutoff 220/µl was used for analysis.
