  1. Logistic regression was used to examine the relationship between demographic characteristics (exposures) and AKI (outcome). Regression coefficients are represented as odds ratios (95%CI). To allow for comparisons across the clinical biomarkers these variables have been standardised, so that for each variable the mean score was zero with a SD of 1
  2. Models were adjusted for: age, ethnicity, sex, new steroids, remdesivir, any IL-6 antagonists and invasive vs non-invasive ventilation
