Trial sequential analysis. The cumulative Z-curve (complete blue line) was constructed using a random effect model. Etched red line shows conventional test boundary. Complete red line represents the trial sequential monitoring boundary. A diversity-adjusted information size of 4514 patients were calculated based on using alfa = 0.05 (two sided), beta = 0.20 (power 80%), an anticipated relative risk reduction (RRR) of 12.5%, and a control event rate of 30.0%. The cumulative Z-curve crossed conventional test boundary; however, it did not cross Alpha-spending boundary, nor did it reach the required information size
