Adverse outcome (AO) was defined in case of NIV > 3 days (11), IMV (excluding the first 24 h after surgery), vasopressors, renal replacement therapy or in case of death in the PICU. *Acute anemia refers to an Hb level decrease ≥ 20% versus the baseline value and due to any reasons excepted splenic sequestration (Delayed Hemolytic Transfusion Reaction, Parvovirus infection…) † Irrelevant statistical testing due to reduced effectives.
